No respect of oneself's beliefs
Article 18-1 and 2 of the Human Rights:
|
1- Everyone shall have the right to freedom of thought, conscience and
religion.
This right shall include freedom to have or to adopt a religion or belief
of his choice,
and freedom, either individually or in community with others and in public
or private,
to manifest his religion or belief in worship, observance, practice and teaching.
|
|
2- No one shall be subject to coercion which would impair his freedom to
have or to adopt a religion or belief of his choice. |
Respect of anyone's beliefs is one of the most important human rights, and
one of the most non-respected ones when it comes to this kind of treatment.
Often expressed verbally throughout the treatment by therapists, or at the
end with a written "report", often subtly expressed, or litterally
saying or writing:
"inadequate thoughts or beliefs", or "deviant thoughts or beliefs".
